When “都” is put after the subjects (which is made up by a list of persons, things or objects, ect. ), it can be followed by an adjective or a verb. It should be put after the subject and before the verb or adjective.
(Note: The adverb modifiers “很 and 非常 very and very much,” are frequently put before the adjectives and sometimes before the verbs.)
When “都" is followed by an adjective, it indicates that all the nouns before it share the same quality or characteristic.
When “都" is followed by a verb, it indicates that all the people or things before it perform the same action.
When “都" is used with a list of objects, the list of objects should be shifted to the beginning of the sentence. Also, the word “都" should still be put after the subject, but before the verb or the adjective.
“都不” can be used to indicate a complete negation “都.”
